Welcome to Z-PAC Theatre - the fun theatre experience!
The Z-PAC Theatre started back in 1964 when a group of people, who loved theatre, formed the Hervey Drama Circle. In 1968 the group moved into a small theatre in
Newhaven Street, Pialba which was a renovated army hut. The group, which now became The Hervey Bay Little Theatre, began producing full length plays.
Over the years there were many name changes, and in 1994 the name changed to The Zephyr Street Performing Arts Community Theatre known as Z-Pac Theatre!
Z-PAC Theatre needs your help!
The Z-PAC Theatre has a lot of productions in the works, and is looking for some big, strong, muscular 'He-Men' types to help build/construct sets, props
and to lend a hand on Tuesdays.
Any and all help would be most appreciated. Please contact us, if you'd like to lend a hand.

Auditions - 'Abstract Nude'
Z-PAC Theatre is holding auditions for their next production, 'Abstract Nude', on Saturday 18th July from 1pm, at the Theatre's premises in Zephyr Street, Scarness.
The play requires a range of male actors aged from 20-50 and female actors from 20-60. Prospective actors simply need to turn up at the Theatre, register their interest
and then follow the instructions of the directors.
'Abstract Nude' has been written by Hervey Bay actor and playwright Richard Yaxley, well-known for penning previous Z-PAC successes such as 'Blokeworld and 'On The
Bright Side of The Road'.
The play follows the fortunes of Rory after he and his wide Nerida move into a new house and find a painting of a nude in the attic. As a range
of absurdly comic characters offer advice and guidance on how to deal with this situation, Rory comes to new realisations about what he calls 'the curiously patterned
world', in particular the nature of truth and how people perceive it.
'Abstract Nude' is contemporary, satirical and bawdy, an incisive analysis of the moral, climate of Australian society.
